Into The PUMAverse RS-X Trainer Launch Event - The OuterNet, London (27/10/22)

In partnership with Mercury-8, House of JJD were commissioned by PUMA to come up with the overall concept and execute the global launch event for the RS-X trainer range.

The team proposed a future-forward event, taking guests on a journey where they would be digitised before being taken into a virtual cityscape, created in conjunction with Immersive-ME, maximising the potential of the OuterNet’s 16k screen technology & unique environment.

3D Architectural Design

In order to accurately create bespoke content to exactly fit the spec of the OuterNet, House of JJD had to first create a pixel-accurate 3D model of the building itself & LED screen orientation as a template from which to build the visuals. The models were created using the original architectural floorplans provided by the OuterNet & are accurate to within 5mm of the actual structure itself.

Holographic Trainers

As a core part of the overall look & feel for the event, pixel-accurate, 3D photoscans of the entire RS-X range were created in-house in order to be utilised in holographic displays around the venue, to further enhance the futuristic nature of the shoes themselves.

Into The PUMAverse - Final Concept Visuals

House of JJD created the overall look for the PUMAverse - a futuristic, digital cityscape which would prominently feature PUMA branding & showcase the new RS-X shoe range.

360 “Bullet Time” camera rig in association with The Flashpack

IA full 7m diameter, 60 camera, 360 bullet time camera rig was constructed for guests to use to create viral social content from the event. House of JJD first had to create virtual iterations of the design in order to satisfy both the client & the venue that the effect could realistically be achieved safely & effectively within the space.

The final physical construction & implementation on the night was undertaken by The Flashpack.

Magazine Walkthrough

During the early planning stage, The Magazine venue in North Greenwich was considered for the launch. The client required an architecturally accurate walkthrough visualisation of how the guest journey would work in the alternate space, and how the PUMAverse itself would be created in a free standing geodesic dome to be constructed in the centre of the building.
